TAD monitor - strange error

I'm trying to install TAD Monitor (very useful utility to maintain backups of the Assets.tdx file) for TC3 on my new PC. I think I've pointed it correctly at the new folder holding TC3 and TAD Monitor, but I keep getting this error message:

Warning: fopen(C:\Auran_~1\TADMonitorTC\TADMLog.txt): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Auran Trainz\TADMonitorTC\Monitor.php on line 30 2010/01/04 00:34:22 : Unable to open Log File(). Check File Permissions Press any key to continue . . .

Line 30 of the Monitor.php file says: "$Log = fopen($InstallDir."\\TADMLog.txt", "w");" I've checked in the directory and TADLog.txt does exist.

Anyone have any ideas about what's wrong here? I really want to use TAD Monitor with TC3 as, inexplicably, the ability to backup and re-import keywords was disabled in this version of Trainz.
