T:ANE (in development) screenshots...

A Group of chilled and wet commuters are about to board a suburban train to the centre of Milan, Italy in a dark, foggy and cold morning of the early 1980s.
During that period the FNM (Ferrovie Nord Milano) had justreceived modern coaches but the matching locos delivery was late so veteran locos from 1929 were used creating a nice contrast.
Cheers,
Filippo

Is there any plans to address the odd distance shadows in TANE?

Both these pictures were taken a the same time with a single press of the "Print Screen" button.

This picture was created by pasting into gimp, exporting it as a jpg, and uploading to Host then Post. It is exactly what I see in TANE

This picture is what TANE uploaded to the Portal Gallery.

I am not sure why they are different.
Rather than fix the problem perhaps it should be developed.

Cloudy skies passing over the landscape when obscuring the sun, cast shadows over the terrain, very similar to the effect shown in your first image.

Hi Matt.

Not sure why the dedication but thanks.
just doing for the benefit of being kind and respect members of the Trainz community by dedicating screenshots to people. Sometimes it's for the people who create the content used In the shots sometimes it's out of act of kindness.

While discussing TANE crashing when working in Surveyor I posted a picture of the station I was working on that brought several comments and suggestions about the scale of the station house. Here is the result of applying the suggestions plus adding additional assets to help minimize the scaling issue.

There a couple of modifications left but only small stuff.

BTW I am now up to an hour between Surveyer saves/exits without crashes.

There was something bugging me about the station screenshots at first I couldn't put my finger on what was wrong. Then I remembered that HF2 changed the way shadows worked when set on Low. Sure enough once I moved it up to high...

I'm not sure how big the impact is going to be on performance now.

Hello,

just some Screens from my Municipal Transit Railway after its change over to T:ANE.
At the Moment about 400 assets have been replaced by using my new seasonal assets - mostly buildings.
Still many many seasonal assets needs to be created to support full season change within this route.
