Remember the original video and target graphics:

Seems the game looks better than that. See the above two screenshots.

The Target Graphics (see above) look like the new Sim City game, and I personally think that's ugly as sin. I do like the the actual T:ANE graphics. Makes me wish I had it (maybe someday).

Any British enthusiast around missing the 1980s Railfreight calendars?

This time I used 3 loco lights: one perpendicular to the 60 side, and two at 45° illuminating the front of the loco and the first wagon.
I recently saw some publicity from TS2016 and I think that graphically Trainz is haead of them.
Cheers,
Filippo

Experimenting with Harold's suggested ambient light settings. (all 90 degrees left), I rather think I like this. Not so brassy so to speak.

More later...

(I really have to replace those cross-bucks.)

Discovered the 90 degree Ambient Color wheel thing last night, the game no longer looks like Trainz:

Doesn't look "cartoonish", looks real.

Yes I rather like the slightly subdued look. It looks like some assets are having weird backlighting effects. I'll have to play around with tweaking the color balance to match the time of day and the effect on water color is rather odd.

Edit, sorry Harold, got confused, again.

No problem thought someone else ran across the Ambient Color thing at the same time.

Wonder why the initial settings on the game aren't the 90 degree left, looks a whole lot better.

You really need to make a suggestion to N3V in the suggestions thread area suggesting to have these be the default settings. Trainz has barely ever looked this good. If these pictures were an ad for T:ANE I would consider buying it.
