surley dls cant be at max 24/7

hi guys first of all thanks for the help in getting my 2010 package upto date and working at max. the help given has restored my faith in the trainz community. but my querry is surley the dls cant be at max all the time. done nearly a 24 hour stint on the weekend and just could not download. very weary of purchaseing a fct because of this. any answers ?????

Someone from nearly every place on the globe is using the Download Station, so it can be used 24/7 and FCT users get a priority over free users, as they paid money for it,

FCT is the way too go

I can confirm the FCT servers are behaving properly (as I'm currently using my 31-day FCT I got when I bought TRS2006) - the only thing you will probably have to do after activating your FCT is to change your password in your Auran Profile (you can use the same one) and clear your Download Helper list. (This will not affect any content that is already downloaded)

My yearly FCT runs out in may 2011.

There have been at max half a dozen days in the last 8 months when i have not been able to download.

I suspect it's a few more than that - there was that week before they did the server upgrades where noone could download, and they ended up giving everyone a free week's FCT for. But probably not much more than that.

I just downloaded a map and 125 pieces of content for it with no problems.

whitepass, do you have a FCT?

The FCT server is reporting as working properly - it's the free one that is not.

If you do indeed not have a FCT, you must be one of the lucky ones.
