Support from Auran

Is it just me or are others having problems with technical support from Auran? The game stopped working on my son's computer. I purchased a new HP computer with high end graphics, Windows7, major processor, etc. Trainz worked for several days and now won't launch. I've checked options to make sure it is using DirectX. Still it won't launch.

Has anyone ever spoken to a real person at Auran?

I'm not sure why this is, but you should send a ticket to the helpdesk, just remember Zec mans it himself, so it may take a while

The main form of contact with Auran/N3V is via the Helpdesk (link for which is above)

Various Auran/N3V staff do frequent the forums from time to time.

The most common form of support is from other Trainz users ('The Community').

If you would like further help via the forums, the following information will be useful:

What error message (if any) are you getting when attempting to launch Trainz?

Also note that you will need to check that both DirectX and your graphics card drivers are up to date.

As you state you are using Windows 7, you will need to launch Trainz as administrator - I have a page with instructions on how to do this at http://shaneturner12.awardspace.co.uk/trainzdata/index.php?page=running-as-administrator.

Generally speaking its faster to use the forums.

The more information you can give us the better.

So operating system, memory etc.

Try just attempting to start Trainz then leaving it on overnight. It has a database and when corrupted it rebuilds the database before starting.
