Suggestions for Jointed Rail (Not Locomotives)

Would you mean something like this? (Removed pic of boxcar with grain door)

Wow Brian ! I love it. When I was young, CP was using these to supply the grainery close from home. I did unload some myself with shovel and a kind of ''scrapper-cart'' (I dont know the real word in English). Obviously as I see your model there was some variant as CP did not use planks but thick cardboard to retain the grain. I do not remember if the carboard was reinforce with some metal strapping or some planks....hmmm Anyway hope you will update the canadian boxcar series with this option ...........they will find a home on my 1959 canadian route as your other great boxcar you already made.

Cheers !

Thanks! I will be updating all of the boxcars that I have done, and any future ones, to include a grain load and some other new features. Also, from the research that I have done it looks like the wooden grain door that I have modeled came before the reinforced cardboard.

Actually that is for switches not panel track. You can see that that is part of a switch siting on there, the rest is on the other side.

Well there is a difference, since they probably wouldn't use that expensize piece of equipment for panel track they can stack in in a gondola. Sorry if I was really picky

Canadians use rather expensive equipment for it:

How about a "Unload All" industry track with a timed unload as in JR's Multi Industry Track, and similar to the driver command "Unload All"

Thanks,
John

That' s a very good news ! Thank you ! ....you are probably right about the cardboard that came later, I was having in mind the 70's when I stated: ''when I was young'' as I'm 48 so I'm not that old LOL

With the Model Trainz stuff taking off. Maybe JRs will flip through the pages of the Walthers Catalog and make some other items for Trainz.

Maybe the Scenic Subdivision (Stevens Pass in Washington State) ! It would be great with the big intermodel trains, the Empire Builder, the Boeing Train, Cascade Tunnel, Coal Trains, Mixed Freight, Scenic Views, & more! It's an absolutely beautiful route & (I think) would be an amazing addition to Trainz.
