Timetable - truly stunning! You are building a beautiful route! I'd like to see more pictures as you progress... :udrool:

And while I'm on...

Thanks Paul, I think I got inspiration from you :D

Pieter

Here's some pics from a project I've had bubbling around for just over a couple of weeks. I think there are possibly some Westhaven influences in here too :), but also those typical of market towns across the country - the narrow streets being lined with old and new buildings right next to each other, and including both upmarket and run down areas just around the corner from each other. For example, the nice flats in the second pic back onto the factory on the third.

1) The historic high street - this vehicle free road goes between a set of older buildings (some containing independant stores, some nationwide chains) with trams in either direction every few minutes.

2) The new flats - a brownfield development has seen a large number of flats appear on top of the old terraces (more about them later) and the trams continue on their original course through the middle. You can see this is also vehicle free - following directly on from the high street. The cars cross the tramway in the middle of this shot. I have to admit, I'd like to live in one of these flats - they have everything going for them.

3) Old Terraces - this terrace is one of several still remaining. In the background you can see on of the factories that could have dominated the area in the past, now looking very dishevelled. Here, the tramway runs anti clockwise along the side of the road, allowing trams to stop whilst cars can contine past unimpeded - a contrast to the crowded modern hight street (not pictured 'cos it's not finished)

Also not pictured is the station area, and the railway spur to the industrialised areas of town.

Don't expect this to be finished anytime too soon - I'm only on to the third board, and one of those doesn't even have trams on! Where possible, I'm interlocking the tram movements with the traffic lights, but there are two places where it is possible for trams and cars to pass through each other, and indeed where trams and trams can pass through over one of the diamonds I was trying to avoid.

Looking good BidMod - I look forward to seeing more... :udrool:

No more from me for now - I've recycled enough as it is...

The rest of the layout is still quite basic and unfinished unfortunately. These three areas here I concentrated on a bit so I had something to show. I'll get an overall shot next time I launch Trainz so you can see how it fits together.

You should have mail from me by the way :)

I've found one of the modern high street. Trams run clockwise on this section, making up part of a figure of 8 layout. The other part of the loop runs along the far side of the tall building just inside the draw distance, with the historic high street peeling away to the left at the same point.

You can see here how the PW isn't finished - I still need to place the poles and cables for the overhead system.

I also think Clinton has about 3 outlets in this town :hehe:

Heres some more pics of the stations I use for this line in the Bronx part of my layout. The (4) train in this layout is similar to the real one but has some differences that set them apart. The station shown here is 167 Street.
