Stupid question about terminology

Trainz Enthusiast
Activity... Session... Scenario...
6 of one, half a dozen of another?

They all refer to the same thing, right?

Session: Activity written in-game

Scenario: Activity written out-of-game.

Scenarios died off after 04 (or was it 06)? There was some talk of updating the software (which was a TPR thing iirc) but I think it just faded away....

So the "activity" is the variable part that the user needs to interact with the route and drive a train.

When I create a route and make a "default" activity... it's called a scenario? Or it's an activity and Auran hasn't updated the software to reflect that?

When I run the game and play the scenario and my cat wants to be fed. I then save it as a session.

OK, I think I got it.

Yep

Nope, anything created in Trainz is a session. The 'scenario' editor was never an Auran/N3V product, it was 3rd party software.

Nope, it was always a session.

OK, I think I got it.

Now you do :)
