Strange Behavior

Hello;

I created a long section of straight track, over thirty table tops in a row, (no other scenery), placed a locomotive at one end then let it go at top speed. As the thing raced down the virtual rails, the locomotive and track vanished but the grid kept moving. Then the two vanished items reappeared, the locomotive still happily travelling down the track. This happened at intervals.

I tried this at a slower speed and the same phenomenon occurred.

Does anyone have a idea of what would cause that?

Thanks in advance for any hints,

srude

This disappearing track happens if the track lengths between vertices is too long. Just make sure you have fairly frequent vertices when laying your track. Probably something to do with the time taken for the computer to draw long lengths of track?

Yeah, I've had the same experience driving down long straight stretches of Interstate 70 in the Midwest... :hehe:
