Steamshots USA..Lets See Some Steam Shots..

Nice pics, Sean. Green cab seems unlikely but I can't refute the photo in your sig. XD
Yes, the green cab is a little different but prototypical to the real thing. The 110 used to run on a shortline around the town of Cliffside, NC and the New Hope Valley Railway is in the process of restoring her to operation.

Action at Cumberland.
First off, a B&O hotshot comes off of the Patterson Creek Cutoff.

Before the freight passes, the B&O's Colombian passes by the freight. Strangely, the B&O's passenger trains didn't use the cutoff. This was possibly due to the amount of traffic that the B&O routed over the cutoff. This train was headed by an AB set of F3s for years, and since the year is 1948, they are heading up this train. In place of the Baggage/Lounge car, which is undergoing maintenance, a baggage is handling the mail and express on this train.

The next train to pass by is the westbound Cincinnatian. In two years, this train will be moved from it's original Baltimore - Washington D.C. - Cincinnati routing to a Detroit - Cincinnati routing due to low ridership.

Next up is a B&O mixed freight.

The last train of the day is a coal train leaving the Cumberland yards.

If you are going to cross-post 14 pictures of that steamer, at least get out Photoshop and desaturate that green and yellow to reasonable levels.

Doubleheaders were required to get trains over the La Cuesta Grade in California, even for the Daylights. Originally four Daylight painted locomotives were kept at San Luis Obispo to serve as helpers for the luxury train but in the later years of steam, any locomotive on hand would be used.

(Actually shot on nicky9499's CCRX route)
