Two sections of a Denver bound coal train clear the mainline for the Salt Lake/Denver Express.

As the Express clears Vasquez siding the coal sections begin to get underway on the 0.6% grade.

The Express is soon pulling away as the Consolidations struggle to get some speed up for the grade ahead.

Section 1 leans into the 3.55% grade as section 2 gathers speed.

Nice Norm... what route are you using? Presently I am building an eastern flavor freelance NG36 route, no pictures yet.

Thanks Ken, the route is TrainzItalia's Rollins Pass 1915 payware route that I've converted to NG36 using pencil42's excellent 35lb track and colorado71's trestles. Jango and company have suggested that they may release a new freeware version in the future. The specific location is Colorado just east of Fraser, Co. and, in the last shot, you can just see Irving, Co. near the trestle in the distance. All locomotives are by togog as are the passenger cars, the gondolas and cabooses are by prowler901 I think.

@ Bob, same to you friend.

Very nice indeed! I like Togog's equipment, I will be using some if it myself. I started with pfishers St Barbara and converted it to NG36 using pencil42 track (gray I asked him for it) and instead of an island I converted it to a river. All horse and wagons no cars.

Ah, good old City and Country...now there's a route I wish dearly that N3V would give an update too. but of course, why would they do that when they can release another dodgy version of the game every 2 years...?

*slaps himself before he goes off ranting again* Good shots all, keep up the good work (man I miss my gaming computer!)

Section 1 meets a string of empty cattle cars at the short Pacific siding (2.5-3% grade) just below Arrow, Co.

xfgr.jpg

Section 1 clears the siding as Section 2 moves in.

h768.jpg

The train of empty cattle cars with its aging Consolidations heads down toward the ranches of Fraser Valley.

There wasn't much revenue generated in the Tolland - Fraser section of Rollins Pass. Cattle for the tables of Denver, logs to make the tables of Denver, and tourism; Picnic Specials, hunting and fishing parties were about it. There were coal mines and some other mines between Fraser and Salt Lake City and hauling coal to Denver and finished goods West over the pass was where the money was.
(The empty cattle cars are also by prowler901, sadly none of prowler901's rolling stock is industry interactive although his locomotives are.)

(The route will be done when it is done and not a second sooner.) :hehe:
