Thanks for these links Norm, very interesting reading. The highest track in this country is at Waiouru in the North Island 819m which is 2687 ft above sea level. We do somtimes get snow there in the winter and around the central plateau area there are lots of 2% grades.

Well it turns out there are quite a few SG 2-8-0's but only a few SG tenders with brakeman's cabs. After a bunch of mixing and matching I came up with these;

The D&SL apparently had 3 models of the 2-8-0's (sources conflict) so these will work, now to decide if I have the ability and desire to repaint them.
 
Absolutely fantastic pictures here! How do you post them though? No matter what do I cannot insert a picture, that's why I use Flickr for my screenies.
 
Clancy: You have use a host like Photobucket..Then you can put them on the Forum..Follow there instuctions..Use Google to find..
