Steam SP1 patch

It seems that the SP1 patch is now being pushed by Steam, and it's broken my 2012 installtion, as expected. The route I've been building now has over 5700 bad assets. I'm giving up on it, since by the time I finish fixing all those items I will have died from old age. In total I have a little under 17,000 newly-bad assets.

I did learn that even though I'd specified that Steam not update Trainz 2012 automatically it did it anyway.

Sorry to hear that friend, I lost mine too, but they are trying to fix what assets they can, I don't know if I'll ever see my route again, as it once was but maybe some day it may become salvageable.

Bit late now, but you are aware that you can physically copy TS12 from the Steam Folder and put it elsewhere, set up the shortcuts and apart from the version number it behaves as does the N3V version and doesn't get auto updated, this was got from a Steam user who did this ages ago, post on here somewhere which I can't find at the moment.

Those bad assets may not all be bad, try revalidating them by right click view errors and warnings, you can select all the faulties at once and just leave CM to get on with it.

Yeah I've done that in the past, but in the past when I told Steam not to automatically update something, it didn't update it. Pluse, my 2012 folder is almost 350 GB in size, and I don't have enough space to keep multiple copies around.

Most of the bad assets are because of the missing thumbnail and are potentially fixable, but I have a life.
