Take a short piece of invisible track and put on it your steam engine and tender.

I forgot you're not modeling. What rolling stock do you want to display? I can set it up for you but you won't be able to release it unless you get permission from the original owner.

Static Steam engine

I have no certain item in mind. i just want to set up a old steam engine with tender in a town square that visitors would look at. i can set item on a track but the still run well the steam etc is still there. Hope i have made myself a little clearer.

Hi Jim,

I would like to know how to do this myself. I was thinking of making a train museum with some static objects that I would have no intention of running anywhere.
