Speedtrees problrm

I have noticed that when a loco approaches a cluster of trees the programe starts to freeze for up to 30 seconds, and it looks as though trains are going in short jumps. As soon as the train clears the trees, everthing runs smoothly. Any suggestions? Please.

You might try dropping all scenery sliders to minimum and see what happens. I stuttering/stopping goes away simply increase the sliders one at a time until it happens. Beware that the sliders have a cumulative effect. That is, one slider at its max has no bad impact but if another slider is also set to midway along with the original then there are issues. So it is a balancing act of what you want to see compared to what you can tolerate.

Sounds like your system might not have enough juice to run Trainz on a route with a good amount of scenery. Post your system specs for more help.

While what dricketts says could be true, I have found that there are a couple of speedtree groups that are real performance killers especially if there is a lot of them. The best solution is to replace them with a group of other trees and because the most problematic ones cannot be swapped with the surveyor replace asset tool you will have to set up a small group of trees which you can copy and paste over the "infected" areas or go round deleting the groups.

The processor's a bit on the low side but your main problem is integrated graphics (your display).
Replace some trees as suggested, thin them out a bit as well (delete some). Do what Dick said with the sliders. Also an idea might be to get a cooling pad, trainz will work your comp harder than most games and overheating will cause it to slow itself down to avoid damage.
The pads plug into a usb port, quite nifty things.
You could also try gamebooster.
