I'm new to Trainz having taken the plunge with the 10th Anniversary Edition / TS12 after having a brief trial with TS2009.
I have a Win 7 x64 computer with a Creative X-Fi sound card using the optical output (SPDIF) to an external D/A convertor then a small valve amp (it's set up for quality music listening!).
All my sound has worked fine with this setup for some time, including a trial install of TS2009 I tried before getting TS12. But for some reason I cannot get TS12 sound from the digital out on my sound card, yet the normal speaker jack does work. I've had a pretty through look and can't find any configurations that could be changed.
Does anyone have any ideas what the problem here might be? I don't want to get another pair of speakers only to run Trainz.
