Some roads with traffic, and other with none

I am nearing completion on a Japanese route and have come up against a problem. Many of the tiny alleys restrict traffic to bicycles and the like with NO autos or trucks. Whereas, the larger roads and superhighways have tons of traffic. I seem to remember a method from way back that described how to do this by turning off the traffic in the Route menu, and then adding "traffic starters" on selected roads where you wanted traffic. As long as the smaller roads and alleys weren't connected to a major road, they didn't have traffic. Does this capability still exist? If so, how to enable it, as I've lost my notes on this and no matter what I do, I either have traffic everywhere (busses in an alley) or nothing moving on any road.

Too bad we can't have more than one vehicle list in the Config file. I'd use one for rural traffic and another for big-city traffic.

It would be nice if the traffic could be associated with the road rather than on the route globally creating an all or nothing set up like we have now.

By road, we could have those side streets with cars and school buses only so that there are no semi-trucks using them as a short-cut.

To create roads without traffic, you can clone a road and then change the number of vehicles to zero in the config.txt file by setting carrate to 0.

True. But if I ever want to put it up on the DLS, the cloned roads must go up as well, and that may be problematic as they aren't my content. I do agree that assigning certain vehicles to a certain road is a great way to go, but that will probably never happen. It bugs me to see a huge semi running up an alley wide enough for a tiny three-wheel truck.
