So......... WHERE is the HD Terrain update?

Everything seems to say it's been released, but I can't find it; when I start Trainz+, and check the updates tab, there are none.... Anyone? Bueller.... Bueller?

It still depends on which TRS22 version you have. HD is still only on the TRS22 Plus install and not on the TRS22 Retail install. See your MyTrainz for the different installs.

I have Trainz Plus. Which version should I install?

If you are a Trainz Plus or Gold Class members you should install Trainz Plus.

Note that TRS22 Retail Edition does not have any Trainz Plus features enabled.

Understood; I have Trainz+ installed, and understand that there may be a slight trickle-down time delay if they are using multiple update servers, but as the announcement is almost 24 hours old, it seems very odd that I'm not seeing it yet...

Thanks... how are you "seeing" the update; is it through "Trainz Settings", "Install" tab, or... ?

Go to Trainz Settings and then "Check for Updates". Make sure your stream is set for Trainz Plus. You should then see the update ready to download.

Mine went fine on two different computers updating from build 119450 to build 122411.

Thanks - that's what I've done, and that's the stream I have set... "No update for Trainz is available at the current time" is what I get.

Check your update stream. Make sure that it's Trainz Plus and not Trainz Plus beta or something else; been there and done that a few times myself.

"C:\Program Files\N3V Games\Trainz Plus" is what I have.

Yes, so do I.

In the patch installer, you can change not only the program to update but also the update stream.

Check that you are updating Trainz Plus and not the beta version.

Check the update stream because that can sometimes point also to something else. If you had updated the beta prior, the settings are read in for that and the patch installer is now ready to update the beta and not the regular program.

In the end, both settings have to point to Trainz Plus to update Trainz Plus and nothing else.

THANK-YOU!!!! Somehow the stream had been set to Trainz Plus Alpha... I haven't done anything with Alpha/Beta software, so I hadn't bothered to check that, assuming it would be as-was; apparently not. I have NO idea it got switched, but that was it...

Thanks everyone for the help!

Build 122411 was the patch that I installed last night before it was announced - so I'm pretty sure that is the latest.

Sorry, this simply is not true. TRS22 SP2 includes the ability to import and run HD routes as well as a number of other formally Trainz Plus only features. Surveyor 2.0 is not available so you can't edit the terrain of the route or the texturing of the route in Classic Surveyor but you can place objects and rolling stock and save sessions. Trying to edit the terrain generates a not allowed message. You also have the ability to edit the settings of industries and interactive rolling stock while in Driver via a new "View Details" dialogue and a new Driver list interface which are also features in Trainz Plus. All the new features of the rendering engine are available as well. N3V realized a while back that attempting to "turn on and off features" while maintaining a single codebase was confusing users so they forked the codebase to have a separate codebase for TRS22. I have the retail version of TRS22 installed and whether I have my Trainz Plus membership active or not has no effect on how TRS22 operates.
