So frustrating sometimes!

I've got a bit of a problem and can't for the life of me figure out what to do!

Say I'll start trainz (2006) and make a little route (or just the start of one) and close out Trainz to do soemthing else.

Now, the next time I come back to Trainz to do more work, regardless of what I did before, everytime i get that black screen telling me about missing dependencies.

What am I screwing up?!

CMP also lists dependencies of dependencies. Does anyone know how far down the chain it goes?

I think I got a similar message when I had a driver installed that TRS didn't like.

For some reason, the KUID of Jonny211's Iron Mink has been placed into the configs of many of my maps, and is missing several assets.

The maps also show up as faulty as a result.

Perhpas you could use CMP to view the dependencies of the map (right click, and select "view dependencies" from the menu that appears). Then you might be able to see the problem (either not installed, missing dependencies themselves or faulty, as older content generally is).

if you have sp1 you can disable that message. usually its just faulty content (or what it thinks is faulty).

Okay, i found 3 items were faulty or something, but they still displayed fine in Surveyor?

Went to Re-Download them, and I couldn't find them, yet I downloaded them from the DLS to begin with...

This is the cause.

To fix - either ignore, using the PerRock method above (if it ain't broke too badly, don't fix it), or right click and view the errors, then try to repair each one (rewarding, but time-consuming).

I ignore such messages.
So far so good.

I just ignore those messages. I've had the same problem with routes that will give me the black screen sometimes and then other times, the exact same route will load just fine.
