=============================================================================== R&N #425 FINAL Run Leads to Unexpected Car Accident! https://youtu.be/WG3Fz5pYyuo Nov 6, 2022 Lets head to the Tamaqua tunnel to catch two special pieces of railroad equipment. First up is Reading & Northern's RDC (Budd Cars). I've previously rode in them, but this will be my first time catching them in action as a rail-fan. Second up is Reading & Northern's #425 Steam Locomotive, the Blue beauty. This was reported to be her Final run as she's set to undergo her 1,472 day inspection which will take her out of service for 5 years. With 3 cameras and a great location, this was the start to a fantastic day of train action with @RJ78 Productions. Sadly, things took an unexpected turn for the worse. After leaving this location, I was involved in a car accident which put an end to my day. Thankfully, no one got seriously hurt, but it did shake me up and put a damper on things. On the bright side, later on in the day I learned that #425 will run 4 more times in the month of December, so I have a chance to see her in action again =================================================================================== Abandoned railroad being restored - Taunton, MA - 11/5/2022 https://youtu.be/6boamU_JFZs I once again visited the Myles Standish Industrial Park to check on the restoration of 2000 feet of track to an apparent new customer. Some of the track has not been used in 30 or so years so some of it is getting a complete replacement. This video shows some of the old track removed as well as materials stockpiled ready to be installed once the time comes. New ties, switch packages, and I believe relay rail are among the supplies. It also appears that a number of ties were installed in the run around. Unfortunately I still haven't figured out who the customer is. ====================================================================================== Dash 9, SD40 Lead the Niagara Transfer https://youtu.be/PQSkhEjR12E It's two days of this awesome lash-up leading CSX L032 up and down the Niagara Branch! With a rebuilt SD40-3 and a YN2 C40-9W leading the Niagara Yard transfer for a few days, I decided to catch this twice: with the SD40-3 leading into Niagara Yard on November 4th., and the Dash 9 leading back to Frontier Yard in Buffalo on November 1st.! ====================================================================================== Long Leaf Historical Series: Episode VI - The Saw Mill (Part I) https://youtu.be/R7hbUweV5v0 Hosted by Chuck Lind, this short documentary focuses on the history of The Crowell Saw Mill at Long Leaf, Louisiana - Southern Forest Heritage Museum. ====================================================================================== Abandoned Tracks - Hiking Union Pacific's Old Provo Utah Branch https://youtu.be/NGK7OlnT4EI We are off to explore some of America's most beautiful abandoned Railroad tracks, the soon to be rebuilt old Union Pacific line from Salt Lake City to Provo around the "Point of the Mountain" to the new "Silicone Slopes" in Utah County, home to many computer software companies including Adobe. The last of the line, from Draper to American Fork Canyon is some of the most amazing abandoned Railroad track. While walk-able for the most part, the tracks have a bicycle - walking path alongside as well. ************************************************************** The line was sold to UDOT for conversion into the "Blue Line" light rail from the heart of Salt Lake City to Draper. And someday soon, to the "Silicone Slopes" in Utah County. We take a quick look at Adobe History and the connection to digital audio recording with inventor Tom Stockham and his Sound stream recorder and Telarc label recordings. ====================================================================================== Chasing the Little GP15 That Could - With Skyman2002 https://youtu.be/jqhUEvVrckc ====================================================================================== The little switcher that could The MLW RS 23 https://youtu.be/GjjdEy6B-UE Note: when I speak of the CN, in the video I actually mean the CP. Hey Blue, thanks for featuring another route I had not noticed before. It is great to get a look at these routes and download them to try them out!

Aloha Blue! :hehe:
Do you know something? These jobs that you do with the routes are like a window to the world, getting to know regions or landscapes is great and appreciated.
Good weekend for you and.........Puliki.
Pd.- By the way, I'll email you something for your routes.

Thanks for the Nevada Northern vid, Blue. It reminds me that even though I live within a day's drive and have gone through Ely on the way to Vegas, I have never stopped to see the train museum there! One of those things I need to make a point of doing!
