I ran across an unusual Loram Unit from one of the videos I watched this week, so I did some research and added some additional links on this particular consist......It would be utterly amazing if we ever had something like this for Trainz. I know, I know, I'm Dreaming of course.

Weird & Unusual Train! What Is This Old Looking, Loud Odd Looking Thing With A Caboose?

Very Unusual and weird train. This old looking odd train is used in railroad maintenance of way, MOW. Have you ever seen this before? I was north of Louisville, Kentucky checking out the CSX Short Line, LCL Sub. I had just filmed a street running train in LaGrange and decided to follow the ex Louisville & Nashville Railway line, ( L&N ) to Cincinnati. The street running train that I filmed is shown at the end of this video. I saw it going through Campbellsburg, Ky for a second time and then noticed this weird looking train sitting on a siding behind the train park in town. I stopped to look at it and I heard them say on the radio that they were going southbound after the long freight train passed. I went to a nearby level railroad crossing and filmed it passing. A short time later I heard them say that they had a problem and needed a part that they didn't have. I filmed them returning northbound and then I filmed them switching tracks from the main line to an old siding that was sunk into the ground. This machine is a ballast cleaner called the DC-2. It scoops up ballast along the tracks and removes junk and trash from it. Check out the awesome caboose on the end! Notice the horn on the caboose. They used the caboose horn when the train reversed over the railroad crossing when I filmed it the second time. This video shows both sides of the train. Still working on Pool issues, had the Water Leak Specialists come out, found the 1//8 inch hole in Copper Pipe where it goes into PVC fitting.....
Broke out about 2 Feet by 1 Foot of Cement to separate the pipes and start repairs below.......
We thinking something Sharp came through the Pipes and caused a Hole due to water velocity.....I just found the Copper end Replacement today. And Sweat the Copper pipe with new end fitting....Then after cool down, will reconnect the PVC side from Pump Station and pray to the Pool God, I got no more air leaks.......:hehe:

Yikes! Hopefully the pool won't be expensive.. but from the sounds of it, it might be more than the roof..
Yeah it isn't his fault, probably didn't know they were connected that way unlike most pools where everything is right there on the spot. Instead, I blame the 2020 year since nothing seemed to have gone right this year, and I though 2019 was bad enough...
I don't know much about pools, since I never owned one, and neither did my parents when I was a kid, always went to the public pools whenever we wanted to go swimming, but all I do know is that they are a challenge sometimes to maintain.
As for that train picture, that is interesting. My guess it powers the rest of the equipment that is attached to it and can also act like a mini engine. I'll have to stay tune and read it when you post it

I have to say, after all the money a Pool costs for maintenance, and repairs, I would at my age, late 60's not to have it anymore......Thought a couple times about just draining and filling in with Dirt.....
But Mr's Blue pleads here case please don't do that Honey.......Whats a husband to do.......I love her too much, so I won't, but I sometimes wish I could......Happy Wife, Happy Life...........
I'm busy repairing underground broken Pipe, Copper with a small hole in it........Something got past the Skimmer Basket or was vacuumed up? Who know, but it has cost about 800$ with Leak Detection, Pool Parts and Cement restoration....Most of the work I am doing, or it would cost a lot more.........
:'(You Sir are correct, 2020, hasn't been a very good year for us......
I think I better keep prayer to the heavens for all of us during these difficult times........

The first order went to the Baldwin Locomotive Works for fourteen locomotives, which were delivered in 1942 and designated as Class M-1. The other four, with road numbers 1960 through 1963, pulled passenger trains between Cincinnati, Ohio and Corbin, Kentucky during the World War II years.
The second order was given to Baldwin, which delivered six more Class M-1 "Berkshires" in 1944. This group was assigned road numbers 1964 through 1969. All twenty of these Baldwin built 2-8-4 had 69" diameter drivers, 25" x 32" cylinders, a 265 psi boiler pressure, they exerted 65,290 pounds of tractive effort and each weighed 447,200 pounds.
The third order went to the Lima Locomotive Works for twenty-two locomotives which were delivered in 1949 and assigned road numbers 1970 through 1991. These locomotives had 69" diameter drivers, 25" x 32" cylinders, a 265 psi boiler pressure, they exerted 65,290 pounds of tractive effort and each weighed 448,100 pounds. This order was the next to last order Lima would receive for steam locomotives. The last order would come from the NYC&StL.
The L&N's Class M-1 locomotives had the distinction of being the most expensive "Berkshire" type locomotives made. The designers included every improvement and feature known to the steam locomotive builder's craft.
Baldwin works numbers were 64605-64618 in 1942, 64723-64726, 70178-70179 in 1944.
Lima works numbers for 1970-1991 were 9349-9350 in January 1949, 9351-9354 in February, 9355-9358 in March, 9359-9363 in April, 9364-9366 in May, 9367-9370 in June.
Built by Baldwin in 1942 and 1944 and by Lima in 1949, these engines were the epitome of the North American fast freight locomotive at the end of the steam era.
One long-time engineer noted that the "Big Emmas" could handle passenger and freight service and that they were very quiet because of the extensive use of roller bearings. Charles B.Castner (in Drury, 1993), compares them to the road's 2-8-2s: "Vastly higher boiler capacity, larger fireboxes, cast steel frames and cylinders, roller bearings, and 12-wheel tenders gave the M-1s greater horsepower to work heavy trains at higher speeds on 12% less fuel."
Firebox had a short combustion chamber as well as three thermic syphons that contributed 103.5 sq ft (9.6 sq m) and two arch tubes that added 21.5 sq ft (2 sq m) to direct heating surface area. Piston valves measured 14" (356 mm) in diameter. Boiler fitted with Worthington Type 5 1/2 SA feed water heater.

Ahh that kind of swimming pool, was thinking of the above ground kinds that you can basically get anywhere lol.
In that case, then it would make sense why the pipes will be under the ground, was poundering why an above ground pool would have underground pipes..
All I can say is, good luck with the repairs, and hope it doesn't get too much more than what it is now for you. but that is one steep bill, and like you said, if a professional were to do it... yikes!
I guess sometime when you have nothing to do, and she is out doing whatever, fill it in sneaky until she ask 'where is the pool is at?'. Can always say 'what pool?'
Overall, good luck with your projects.

I repaired the one Leak, with new Copper Coupling, but now I stilll have some Bubbles, and after watching a ton of You Tubes, it appears I could have more than one leak in the pipe......Now before, I had huge amount of Bubbles, but that was from both old equipment and this first leak they found.....
New equip has been put in......And 2 out of 3 suction side pipes have no air bubbles, so this one pipe, the one with 1/8 inch hole in the end, I trimmed it off.....But there is something more somewhere in this pipe?
Hoping when I call the Leak Detection Company back Monday, they will come out and do one more check for me, maybe we can find where the other leak in the pipe is? :hehe:
Otherwise my Pool is circulating great, and the New Pump and Filter I installed is perfect......

As per Thanksgiving, I love good Pumpkin Pies as all the trimmings, like Sweet Potatoes.......And Pecan Pie once in a great while, have to watch my Sugar intake as I get older.......

Happy Thanksgiving to all,
This is a special day and I hope all our well during this difficult time of horrible Pandemic.
So whats happening at the Blue's House, well, I had another Pipe Test today to find out 2 of my underground Pipes are fine, however the 3rd one, the longest run in the Bunch, has a second leak, and now need to break up another 5 feet of Cement, to unearch the leak, and then do another, Pressure Test after I cut off the bad part of the Copper pipe. So slowly but surely, hopefully will find a good end game out of this.....This is what happens when you have things older than 50 yrs, and they start to fail.
I also found out my Skimmer is not Unibody back in the 70.s and it could be the Plastic is deterioating in the bottom, allowing for pin hole leaks.......The newer Skimmers are Unibody and don't have this problem anymore, which usually if there is a leak, it is sustained the incoming piping, not plastic Cage of the Skimmer......
Friday I plan on doing some shopping at Trainz Store to pick up some items I have waited for.

I took a little time to go over some my older saved Routes, one of them being Jango's Winter Donnor Pass. When I opened up my saved file from a year ago, I found lots of missing items, and other problems with Bridge placings. It could be this file was from my TANE Days, I don't know, so I downloaded the latest version, 1.2. This version looks OK and Bridges, other items look right. So I deleted all my old Donner Pass Routes.
With that said, tonight here is some Pictures with UP Gas Turbine Passenger Train making an initial Run from Reno Nev to California.

Here are some quick Photos of Locomotives I added to my Inventory today. SP, UP, ATSF, NS, PRR, CN and other Older ones......In my previous Message, I have all the Loco Names and Types shown here...<kuid:455032:107472> NORTH AMERICAN GRAIN SHORTLINE-2013 Route.....
And I can assure all of you, none of these is headed to the Scraper either , I'll make sure there all properly cared for, dispute some them who have unkempt appearances....AKA severally weathered condition! You know I loving it.....:hehe:
EMD 50 SPBW (Black Widow) one of my Favorites.......
This is old guy us headed to one of my Coal Country or Similiar, , maybe Hinton Route........This little 3Axle can pull its weight and then some.....Don't laugh, this old Geezer is paid for....And Runs like a Champ......
Because of the variety that I purchased today, they will work wonderfully on a great many Routes, and one of the Routes I purchased today? Legacy of the BN II will have several of the different BN Locomotives I didn't have....They'll be pressed into service this week on that Route which is beautifully done.........
Tomorrow is busy day for me, busting out some more Concrete Decking to fix this one last Copper Pipe with tiny hole in it somewhere, that I have to find.....

I also went shopping as the sale was good for me. Bought basically all of the JR engines for $1.50, and then with the points, helped to make the cost a grand deal that was part to pass
I also went to the hobby shop and myself a N scale Metra set for $200, not a bad deal considering other places would want close to $400 if not more for the x3 Metra cars and $200 for the DCC engine..

Hi Blue! Great to see you are keeping up your inventory! I went for the routes I had not picked up before, so I got the updated S&C, Chiyoda Branch Line, BalezinoMosti, Coal Country, Short Line, and Midwestern Branch. When I went to download, the Midwestern Branch was already installed, so It may be my second time... . The six routes were in the neighborhood of $30, and I got $10 off with rewards points, so six for $20! What a bargain! I am wishing I had thrown Tidewater in there as well, but the Christmas sale is coming I an sure! Enjoy the holiday season with your new toys!

One of the things I am fond of are Slaves and Slug units, every so often you'll see them in Consists, other times you might not notice at times when Freights are flying by on Mainlines.

You seem happy with all those purchases these days, I'm glad.
You always tell us what the weather is going to do in your area and I remembered why a wave of polar cold enters Spain on Thursday.
This made me regret that you may not know why it is less cold in some parts of Europe than in the US.
Blame it on the "Siberian anticyclone"; Siberia has a permanent anticyclone on top that blocks the Arctic winds and when it weakens or moves a little those winds sweep the European continent.
In the 1960s, the Soviet Union had a project to irrigate part of Siberia by drying up a huge lake and apparently that would modify the anticyclone, for which they suffered pressure from Western Europe and NATO; be that or another reason, the fact is that they did not carry out the project.
For all this is that, for example, being New York and Madrid at approximately the same latitude, in the former it is much colder in winter.
