That looks excellent, hiawathamr! The PBR tracks and turfX really make a difference! Is that snow track the one by Iliosin?

Wow, DARTrider, looks great. Anxiously anticipating this one.
Best,
smyers

Thank you. I'm good at track work and basic scenic elements, but detailed scenes is not my thing. I could use some tips from the pros :hehe:
I plan to have loads of industries, trash and derelict stuff, kinda like the cool route you're posting pictures of. I've been taking inspiration from Midwestern Branch, the route you're posting and more. I'm also needing some information on industries commonly found in cities. This could take a while but hopefully not 10 years :)

DARTrider, most of my attempts have been in a shelf configuration to cut down a bit on the overwhelming detail found in an urban environment. I've been using JackieG's Miami Spur (DLS) for quite a while as my go to modern switching route. Also, you must check out images posted here by felix_g. Here are a few at the lower third of the page...

Unfortunately, this route was never released, as far as I know. In fact I haven't seen felix around for a while. On Hiawathamr's web page, there is a payware industrial switching route that's worth every penny. At least go visit the page and see the map view and screen shots, they're very impressive. As my routes are designed for appearance only, I can make industries generic so they can take most any stock. I'll try to put a coal-fired power plant of some kind for hoppers and maybe cold storage for reefers. A scrap merchant is also a good industry to have. Msgsapper has made several applicable industries for specific commodities, all on the DLS. I'll try to include an interchange track or yard as an excuse to display "foreign" power, and as a place to pick up and drop off stock. It looks like you've done that already. While you're at this early stage, you may want to build in some terrain height variations for added interest.

Go for it, DARTrider, should be good.
Best,
smyers

Does anyone know what's happening with felix_g and his route? I have been drooling over his screenshots for a few years and was trying to wait patiently for it to be released. It looks absolutely incredible.

Above all though, I hope he's ok.

Cheers,
Piere.

@DARTrider - amazing progress so far! As for the name of that one logistic I would say maybe Kevin's Midwest Products? I usually include the name of the asset itself as part of the full industrial name to make it easy :D

@Hert - Like your progress so far :)

Todays fun concludes the end of the line heading towards West Chicago. Tomorrow if all goes according to plan I should be working on the diamond where the UP and CN cross.
