Over the weekend, I learned about the CB&Q rostering quite a few 2-10-4 steam locomotives. Naturally, I wondered how my AT&SF no. 5000 would "dress up" as one, so here's AT&SF no. 5000 masquerading as CB&Q no. 6315.

Modifications included repainting the smokebox, replacing the number plate, changing the headlight, removing her flying number boards, painting the stack black, removing the stack extension, painting the cab roof red, adding new CB&Q magnets to the cab and tender to cover-up her existing lettering, and replacing her Santa Fe 5-chime whistle with a CB&Q 5-chime. I might use this for special BNSF trips commemorating "the Burlington" in the future, but for now she shall return to her original Santa Fe state.

Altered the South Bay Commuter Express livery a bit to better match the SC-44 from my previous post, borrowing a little from Amtrak California.

I might eventually work out some sort of lore for all these trainsets.
