Show off your reskins!

Nice job, Tim. First time I've seen Stepney without a face, and I must say "he" looks better that way. :D Funny how W. Awdry fit some real locomotives into his fiction. (and had artists put faces on them...!) I used to be a real fan of the Railway Series, and it's still ok, I suppose, but I'm more into real thing instead of children's stories nowadays. :)

Did I? I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that I was catering to children and not pre-1900 steam enthusiasts. My apolgies:n:

Tim

Aww, Cut him some slack Tim, he's just joking around! Stepney and Fenchurch look amazing, BTW; those old Terriers always have and always will be my favorite British steam tank locos. Heck, I named the local museum-piece 2-8-0 I used to climb all over as a kid (used too...? Heck, I still do!) Stepney because of the TTTE character.

Well I never could get the P&PU logo to look right on this. Atleast good enough for me that is. So I went with this way. I now have #13-16 to do some switching with.:)

Nice Camel Back, Jason. May I suggest you tone down the gold of the bell a bit, though? it does look right on that mostly worn loco :)

Cheers
Stevo

Thanks Stevo! Yeah I'll see what I can do on that bell and whistle. Does anyone know where I can find a good steam boat type whistle like the one that was used on Frisco 1522? P&PU steam engines had those type of whistles and I haven't been able to find one yet.

A little SP patched unit in the works still
A "What if SP bought UP patch" ( I don't like it personally.)
Not digging it to be honest, Man I miss the days when SP ran free, I know of only one SP unit that I have seen in use that was unpatched and that was a GP9 Circa like 2000 working the Phoenix UP yard.

Eh, I put it together in about 3 minutes. I didn't like it either, some guy asked me to do it. :hehe:

Since we're all doing it, might as well take a crack at it, I am still working on the patches weathering. I may take a couple of them off later. Tell me what you think. ( I am also aware there aren't many SP units with a UP door but I thought it would look neat.)
