Should I?

Hi,

I havent used trainz for ages, but its getting to that time of year with the long cold nights where I like to relax and play on trainz.

Im thinking of ordering 2009, but have just discovered 2010.
Should I bother ordering 2009 or is 2010 due for release soon?

I don't think anyone knows enough about 2010 at this point to give you a response. 2009 has problems of it's own, just check the 2009 forum. My personal recommendation would be Trainz 2006. Quite stable and backwards compatible with older content.

I have '06 and found it was too unstable. So I eventually gave up with it after many happy years using '04.

Well, i guess i will have to wait and see what happens with 2010.

I'm going to guess it will be the same timing as the TS2009 release last year. Some time around the end of November for the downloadable version.

I also have 2006 for a little over a year now. Initially, I did have problems with CMP crashing. However, once I upgraded my hardware to specifications, all problems went away. Give it another chance.

I have 4Gb of memory and a 512Mb Nvidia Graphics card. I think its the 8800GTX. The spec of my pc won't have been a problem lol

I might give it a shot. But i wanna get my website done first, just gotta complete my framework

If you're not in a pressing hurry, I'd say wait until more information emerges on TS2010:EE.

i would wait, till more info on trs10. they have not said anything about
min, computer spec's yet

yeah, i dont think my pc spec will be a problem, i play games like crysis, farcry, etc on full (maximum) settings with no lag or 'jerkyness'.

I think ill wait for 2010.
