sforget's Un-Portal Rule

This is a really handy thing, but its usefulness is reduced by the lack of ability to select consists. Because the portal is simply a trackmark, you can place it anywhere on a route, which is great. But if you set it to "Consume Trains", it will eat any train that passes over it. Would sforget be so good as to add the select capability that is found in the Central Portal Control rule??
Thanks,
Mick Berg.

He has not posted since May2009 so I wouldn't hold your breath. I think the real world had to take the place of Trainz.

Mick, if you do manage to contact Steven could you please post the outcome here. There are some rules of his that I would like to update.

Thanks - Trevor
PM'd him a few days ago and no reply.

At what point, I wonder, should Trainz assets that have been orphaned by their creator pass into the public domain. The Trackview rule is great, but has some big problems, however its creator will not do anything about it, but will not let anyone else fix it, because at some point he had a run-in with Auran. Seems rather dog-in-the-manger to me.

What is your assumption for this disparaging remark? Do you know something that we don't. As far as I am aware Steve had personal business problems which meant that he had to devote his time to solving these and therefore had to abandon Trainz. If somebody knows better then please correct me.

I know Steve via these forums ...

He's not really into trainz these days, but if you can contact him he'll might help since he's really a great guy -- back when he was around he told me that he manages restaurants, and that was taken up his whole day, so he might be still doing that!!!

I wasn't talking about Steve, I was talking about the author of the Trackview Rule, who I spoke with about it some time ago. Read my post before you accuse me please.

Hi Mick - It is unlikely that Steven would respond to a PM unless he is looking at the forum regularly. I sometimes miss messages as I forget to look at the message block.

An e-mail might get a result if he is still using the same address.

Cheers - Trevor
