I know this is an old thread, but I need help getting my perfectly legal trainz 2010 serial number on this forum. I bought the game at OfficeMax, i still have the receipt, if anyone is curious. People keep complaining...so I have to do something about this. Please help. I've tried the help desk, they have nothing, btw.

When did you contact the Helpdesk? If it was less than 24 hours ago you might have to wait for a little bit. Also, a member of the N3V Support team should send you an email about it after you have contacted the helpdesk.

I know...but is there any other way to put my serial number on???

Got to MyTrainz and register your serial number (use all lower case letters, not capital letters), if you haven't already, create a profile there

If the game was brand new in factory sealed box it should be registerable ... if it has already been previously registered by someone else it may not be registerable

You may also need to buy a FCT, later on (after you get your game registered) a 1 year FCT oftentimes goes on sale, but they are full price at present

Oh, yeah. I've done that. But every time I do it, it says that serial number has already been used in my account or something like that. Something to the effect of you've already put the number in.

If it is a used game, open box, it may not register ... If you had a previous Username, Password, EMail address, and can not remember it, you need that original information in order to register it ... if the game was already registered by someone else you may be SOL ...

It wasn't used by anyone else before I got it. I bought it straight from a store.

Serial number is locked to the Username you used when installing it and registering it for the first time as part of the install process which I'm guessing isn't the one you are using at the moment on here.
Forum username = Trainz Username, they must be the same.
