serial number

"Please let me know if you haven't received the email in the next two hours and we will see what we can do for you."

14 minutes to go before it's 2 hours. Just checked, nothing here yet either.

Hi All
Please keep in mind that we have only just today implemented a new shop system. We have been working all day to correct the few issues that have come up after implementing it, however at this stage the serial numbers issue may not have been fully rectified yet. If you have not yet received an email from our store with your serial numbers (please remember to check your spam folders!), then please contact our helpdesk's "Orders & Shop" department. However, please allow us until tomorrow to get back to you. We are working as fast as possible to have this issue sorted, however we can't just snap our fingers and make it work unfortunately.

Regards

The problem here lies in Kris Deagle's use of the unapproved "2 hours" expression of a time period. Anyone who's been here any length of time knows that the only approved method of referring to the passage of time is "soon".:hehe:

Checked Spam folders? Added the N3V address to your address book? Checked whatever order history on the new site for the serial numbers?

Try logging into account then my Orders, I would imagine that as with the old shop your serial number and download links should be under the invoice number, anyone bothered to check?

Edit:

CONFIRMED go to the shop, log into your account, click my orders, click on order and the serial number is there. No need for ranting. ;)

I also got no serial number (bought Trainz Mac). I tripple checked all the places it can be (old 'legacy history' and all the places I found in the 'my acount' in the new shop. Spam filter is off at mine.

I've bought $37 worth of DLC and content today, and inputted their serial numbers just fine. Maybe it was you're lack of understanding on the site rather than N3V being bad

No, it's a legit rant, set up a new website then have a massive sale before checking that it works? Not the brightest idea somebody had there, and I'm sure with hindsight they'll agree with that. And for me it wasn't paypal, I used a plain old everyday VISA card. Back when I had high speed cable I bought dozens of download games from Direct2Drive and other places, SOP is for ONE email to arrive with whatever registration/activation code is required at the top, along with download links. For this we got the email with five download links and no serial number. Just now checked, still no serial number email, not in the spam folder because that's empty, as for adding N3V to the contacts list it wasn't necessary to do that in order to receive the download email, why would it be different for the serial number email? Assuming they intended to send the serial number separate from the download links in the first place, which is a rather weird way of doing it.

And yes, I did check the order last night, all the other details but no serial number. It has a serial number NOW, so problem solved, but it wasn't there last night when all this started.

So aside from the still missing email with the serial number, the main problem of no serial number at all has been solved for me, so those who still haven't gotten the email try clam1952's suggestion, see if it has been added to the order invoice in the new online shop now.

Gotta run, Train Simulator 2013 (they're no longer calling it Railworks) is due for release today, and since RailSimulator.com routinely screws up a lot worse than N3V ever did I'm sure I'll have a lot of moderating work over at trainsim.com.

Same Issue

Hello I purchased trainz 2012 last night also from the "new site" (no clue it was a new site) anyway my first issue is that on clicking the purchase button (using visa), the trasnsaction timed out, so i did it again, after going back I noticed I was charged twice, 2nd issue is the missing serial number. Can someone there please refund the 1st purchase and send me a serial number for the second??

Thanks

Hi All
If you've experience a double order, missing serial numbers, or similar, please contact the helpdesk.

In regards to serial numbers, as per Clam1952's post, you should now be able to access these via the 'my orders' section of the new shop. We do apologise for the time taken to fix this, however please understand the in some cases it may take some time for issues to be fixed. Particularly where the issues may not be able to be sorted within regular business hours (e.g. this post is being written at 11:41pm AU-EST, which is the time zone N3V Games is in, being an Australian based company in the eastern part of Australia).

Regards

Still nothing for me. I made my purchases probably an hour before this thread was even started. Helpdesk ticket FVS-708241/RNI-593159.
