chairman,
I was having problems with these industries also but worked on them today and got the Multi Ind str 1=10m EN working just fine in a test track I just ran. I haven't check the others but I'm pretty sure that they will work also as the fixes I did were pretty much the same for all of them.
I used the Content Manager to find the item and then see what's wrong with it. If the item has exclamation point hilighted then it needs attention. If you know how to use the Content Manager then you can skip this but in case you don't, right click on the item and click on "View Errors & Warnings" to see what the program has found wrong. In my case, there was an error about an incorrect word in an area of the config. I opened the item for edit in Content Creator Plus by, again right clicking on the item, then cursuring over "Edit" and clicking on the "Edit in Content Creator Plus". After the editor opened, I look at what was wrong and decided to see what happened if I just deleted the hilighted item (a KIUD file number was the culprit in most of them) in the file (click on the X to delete it). I deleted the item, saved the file and then exited Content Creator Plus. That brings you back to the Content Manager where you must "Commit" the item to the data base. Again, right click on the item and click on "Commit". If there are no more errors in the item, exclamation point won't be hilighted but the "Modified" triangle will illuminate.
You can also look at the dependencies for the item in the same way by right clicking and clicking on "View Dependencies" and "View Dependent Assets". I had to download several additional commodities to get several of the industries to behave correctly.
If the "View Errors & Warnings" comes up with "Can't Load Mesh ...." or " Can't load texture.. " or some such then you're out of luck unless you can edit those parts. I've made an asset or two for my routes but I don't have the know how to do that to these things.
Like I said, I got most of my industries to not show any errors with very little effort. I'm using TR2009 but it will probably work in your version also.
Remember, if you screw it up badly enough, you can't delete it, download it, and try again. Or you can clone it if you wish. But, I believe, that will use up hard drive space when the alternative is to just fix the original.
Hope this helps,
Don
