Moscow, shunt session, part 1

The big shunt session:

Ochakovo-IV station, need to pick up a few cars with beer:


Ridin' from Ochakovo-IV to Sun-station on the branch line which has 5 km long. There is 1% down grade, the weight of the train is 780 t.


It's time to pick up hundreds of oil from sideways of the Ochakovo-station. It's a new oil terminal, they made the oil so I'm pickin it up


They glad to see me though I didn't gave them cars with beer


The weather was nice that morning


The branch line goes along mainline and just at the gates of the oil-terminal it goes to the right


This is industrial place, there are a lot of fences, roads, warehouses etc. Also there are some trees


Nice view from my workplace. There are no Phoebus&Damos in the right corner of picture


Need to do some moves to save the time


I'm pushing cars to the Ochakovo-station. 8-th throttle, 23 km/h, weight 1000 t. There is a steep grade — 2%, the wy goes up (as usual on branchlines)

Shunt session, part 2

I'm arriving from Ochakovo and going to Moscow-Sortirovochnaya (sort. means hump-yard) on the way №3


Ridin' near Matveevskoe, watchin' around


It's morning, sunday


There is a bridge over Ramenka-river near hump-yard. You can see electric locomotive VL10, which will pick my train and will go upwards to the Sun station. VL10 cannot go alone so he need to pull my train


Bridges and houses are everywhere


Arriving to the empty station. It's sunday so there are no big trains here


I'm goin' back to Ochakovo, there I'll pick some cars from military zone and some other cars from I dunno where.


Speed 80, throttle 5-th.


I came to Ochakovo, I'm on track №7.


I picked up 1st part, it's time to go to the military zone

Weight of my train — 1400 t.


I'm goin' to the concrete plant


"Crossing the deadline" — goin' across the whole station to arrive from track 6


Eight throttle. There is no muffler on my loco so it's make some noise and it annoys the passengers.


Meanwhile other train arrives from Moskva-Sort to the Sun-station.


Lol, bonus


Final step. I need to llect all the cars in to the big train. It's hard to do it on the Ochakovo or Moscow-stations because of the steep grades near those stations (about 1%). It's easier to do it on the Sun-station because there are no long steep grades. Also it's hard to arrive from Moscow-station because of those grades.


Now the train is ready to go to the Bekasovo-station. Weight of this train — 4200 t.
