What tracks do you use?

Steffen

Thanks for your kind comments.

There are two types with different concrete sleepers and rail fastenings (both shown below in one of my routes). I got these from from http://www.stacjazary.pl/viewpage.php?page_id=6 ) Select Infrastruktura. The pack is at the bottom of page 3, ZS-Tory_Pack v1.

It says it’s for TS2009 but they work fine in my TRS2004.

You will need to have the.cdp files unpacked by using appropriate software. WinRar will do it. I use 7-Zip File Manager, which is freeware, available from http://www.7-zip.org/

Imageshack

Those tracks are high poly though, so I tend to restrict their use to where I've set up cameras placed very close to the trackside.

For general use I'm a great fan of drstrach. His stuff in on the DLS. It is extremely varied and versatile and is the most used on my routes because of its good looks and performance, IMHO.

Your route looks wonderful, and the images are beautiful.;)

You are a genius...:Y:

Cheers Frédo.

Hi kilanziom, why don't you try to change those autumn JVC trees with something ... not autumn? :D Something greener...And maybe also changing those FMA tracks would be a plus, they are too thin compared with the reality, the train looks like it rolls on strings :p

Nice locos and cars, but why don't you use SpeedTree and 3D-rails?

Hi dear U_D,

..And because there is a life -and a better one- beyond Speedtreez... ;)

Have a look at Casper's , i.e. a 4er purist. :hehe:

The Sixer purist (but not exclusive) side of Alberte

Several reasons.

-I do not have and I do not want to have TS2010.
-Not many types available not to mention parts of year, poor competition against any other type of TRS vegetation.
-I do not consider new techniques better then the old ones just because they're younger.
-This screen was taken on a map released 2 years ago and there is no time/sense of spending 3 months on vegetation exchanging just for the sake of a few screens.

If You like other parts of the year, do them. I don't feel the need for it. Same thing about FMA tracks, much better then any 3d tracks often advertised here and there.

Trainz is an all-but-perfect little computer game, and with or without speed-trees and 3d rails none of You is going to be closer to the realism as the guys using 2d-alpha trees and chunky-mesh tracks in TRS2004. Really :) It's all in Your head and Your imagination.

Hi to all,

@Kilanziom. Once again, great work Kilanziom.

These are all excellent ! your roads are wonderful ! (Masterpieces).:Y:

You are a very talented young man.

I look forward to seeing more of your work. ;)

Cheers Frédo.

Just use replace assets function in TS2009 and it will take 10 minutes :p
Unfortunately, it is not so easy, I tried it. Technique to build maps based on speedtrees is completely different than that based on bilboard trees. In my case, this led to a complete reconstruction of vegetation on the map.
Cheers,
Stan
