To begin this thread, I thought it's time to reveal something...
I like sci fi
If there's one thing I will voluntarily read it'll be that.
So I thought we could all twist our brains (Inspired by dreddman) with our favorite sci-fi trainz somethings (if you have any, that is. you can share some other sci fi stuff here, i wont judge).
I have a good chunk, but for me it'd have to be Barn700's Cyberia pack and the lunar maglevs on the DLS.
The Cyberia pack items look too futuristic to be not sci-fi, same goes for the lunar maglevs. and I'm not butchering pierreren's name (think I got it this time) in the name of sci-fi!
Thought this could be a screenshot thread in the community tab:LOL: (here come the pitchforks and fire).

Love me some sci-fi trains!
Unfortunately, a lot of the sci-fi series I consume don't like to feature a lot of trains 😥. Opting instead for things like fictional planes and such... Either that or I don't pay attention to them. Off the top of my head, the Razor train from Half-Life is the only notable one I can think. Might be a fun project to do with how elongated it looks.

And the one sci-fi series that I watch that DO feature trains as a big part of its story just uses Shinkansens... nothing wrong with that of course, it's just that it's obviously a real train first and foremost.

One of my personal favorites of sci-fi is the 5th wave, no trains, but still a good book

Popped into nightcafe and created some scifi trains today.

Thought i'd record the cyberians on the route regional passenger transit 2005 by euphod. At the end the J3A is seen somewhere at its higher speeds...

I wonder if we don't see more trains in scifi because they're difficult to speculate on. Consider, besides the finer details known among the modelers and engineers, the general construction of locomotives has not changed all that much.

Anyone else think the cyberpunk loco was built by importing a j1 texas and building a metal shell around it? Still looks cool.

The sketchfab trolley was my personal favorite. Takes me right back to watching fifth element as a kid. That movie rocked. :) Must have gone to see it 5 or 6 times atleast.

I think ish deserves a shout out. His marsz project was incredibly creative and very much in the vein of older scifi like blade runner, alien, etc. Alot of fun playing with that stuff.
