Scenario Download for Trainz 1.3

Hi All

I know Trainz 1.3 is ancient - but I've dusted it off to have a lash (was my Dad's copy - he never used it after it being given to him as a gift). Anyway, I've spent an hour trolling the web trying to find free scenario downloads for 1.3, to no avail. I haven't got time to become a serious train-simmer, and just want to puddle about with Trainz from time to time. To that end, I don't want to have to pay for a "ticket" to download very old content that should be freeware.

Any help?

Hi Peter.

The only way you'll be able to get content via N3V is by purchasing a First Class Ticket. The only alternative is to search 3rd party sites for relevant routes. Trainzproroutes.com is one possibility but I'm not sure if they'll offer anything compatible for your version. tafweb-trainz.co.uk is another one to try.

I searched the DLS http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php and in Trainz 1.3 there are only 63 scenario's.

If you bought a 3 month FCT (I would highly recommend a 1 year FCT for @ $22 USD, the best prices @ 6 cents per day), you could download only Trianz 1.3 assets.

But if you did upgrade to TS10, your Trainz 1.3 FCT would still be in use.

If You have a fast PC (CPU processor), and a quality video card (not integrated graphics) it would run TS09, TS 10, or TS12 ... however Trainz 1.3 probably would run fairly well on a very low end PC.

Or buy TS12 if your PC is up to the quality specs demanded by TS 09 ,10, 12

I would not recommend you purchase TRS2004 or TRS2006 on Amazon as it is unsupported. And especially on EBay, if it is a second hand pre-registered disc, downloading will be impossible, as it is not transferable.

I am perfectly happy with TRS2006, and many others still use TRS2004 versions, and can download only up to and including your own Trainz version assets, and not beyond (higher version assets).

Scenario only started with UTC and will not work with 1.3 even if it was made as ver.1.3.
