Saving a new consist

I'm unable to save the log load on a new consist I create. I use a simple and basic test track I've created, then Session, then edit session, and create a consist of 9 50ft Clinchfield log wagons [have tried both the ordinary one and the empty one but no difference]

Then Load them with the 5 log load as explained by Sniper here on the forum a couple of weeks ago

I then click on the consist button, top RH side of the tab menu, click on ‘Get consist’, Name it in the window that comes up, hit OK and it saves the title I gave it and it appears in the consist list on the RH surveyor tab.

Then in the Top LH side drop down menu, hit exit Surveyor and get the Dont Save/ Save window.

On the first two attempts I hit ‘dont save’ thinking why do i need to save something that I had already just given a title and apparently Saved
However after exiting then going back to look at it and place it on a route the name is there alright as are the 9 wagons but they are empty. The loads have not saved and have dissappeared.

I have tried it about 8 times so far and on subsequent occasions I've saved it as session, as a route etc, trying ‘Save’ from within the application and also upon exit but each time I’m out of it and go back in to have a look and place it on a track, the rake of wagons [consist] is empty.
Anyone know what I need to do to save the wagons so they remain loaded? Cheers

Are you trying this in the route and not the session? Loads and stuff are kept in the session, not the route if I recall.

Thanks for the reply John. I have tried it in both, but primarily 'Session' Will try it in Route again tonight. What Im trying to do is have a consist of 9 loaded log wagons as an item that I can place or join up in in any route I'm creating a session for. If that's posible. Cheers

Nope. A saved consist or a train spawning from a portal will load the cars with whatever default load is specified in the KUID table, if the default is empty then when it spawns from a portal or is placed either individually or in a consist it will be empty by default. That's why with cars that have visible loads, for example;

ChiMet FREIGHT 50ft flatcar loaded lumber,<kuid2:522774:100065:2>
ChiMet FREIGHT 50ft flatcar MT,<kuid2:522774:100169:2>

PON Freight Coal 2BayLD A,<kuid2:522774:100049:2>
PON Freight Coal 2BayMT A,<kuid2:522774:100070:2>

I created two versions, one empty and the other loaded by default. For trains spawning from portals it's easier to use the Instant Load command, or if it's the player train you can give yourself the instant load command, assuming that what you want them to load with is the default load.
