Routes, Sessions: Uploading new creations

Greetings,
Now that my feet are wet, and the paint is spilled in the shed, I'm wondering about uploading routes and sessions. Since I don't make my own gmax goodies yet, what is the allowed procedure? The routes I am developing use other people's buildings, rolling stock and the like, and I don't want to break any of the 'rules'. Thanks in advance, and Happy Holidays!

To Mod: Ack, this should be in content creation & support, sorry. Please move if you desire.

attach the required thumbnails, and upload. you aren't actually creating coppies of the items just 'links' to them so CMP will find what is needed and download them on to who evers computer.

Can I add, please be sure to add a description and clarified title. So many DLS items these days don't have the required 2 thumbnails (surveyor menu pic and CMP/DLS thumbnail) and description, and titles (asset names) like adsnfjn1 just aren't good enough, really.

Also the config - some routes/sessions don't have correct region tags, surveyor region, year (era) and carrate. Also water is sometimes missing.

Good luck with your creations. As Peter said, you can use others stuff as much as you like. Preferably it would be on the DLS, so others can find it quicker. :)

Alex :)

Don't forget to delete missing assets before you do your final save as this eliminates any rolling stock you placed on the route for testing, as it stay's in the config if they are not deleted properly. I notice this is the case on many a route i download.

Good tip! I thought the route had to be run through TO to remove the rolling stock that was used for testing the route. Looks like a simple "delete missing assets" before the final save will do the same thing. I sure hated downloading all that rolling stock with the routes on DLS.
