Whenever I download a route from anywhere it downloads and installs fine, but whenever I try to load it, it says that I have not chosen a route. can anyone help?

Try loading the route from Surveyor. Also, if your route does not load or crashes, it may contain too many missing/broken assets.

I don't think 06 has a compatibility mode.

Make sure the route is not open for edit - that error usually appears if the route is open for edit.
