Glitchy issues on Trainz 3 on iPad Pro

Hello! I have recently downloaded Trainz 3 on my iPad. It worked great on my previous iPad but now not so much. It keeps freezing and won’t let me do anything.

There are duplicates of sessions and I am unable to delete them. Whenever I try - the game freezes. It also freezes when switching between menus or trying to change filters in the sessions section.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times but nothing. The iPad and the App are up to date. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is your previous iPad more powerful than the one giving you problems?

No the previous one was not more powerful. I now have the most recent iPad with all the bells and whistles.

The last time that app was updated was 3yrs ago and for iOS 14.4 It will still run on 8+yr old hardware thus probably not optimized for the latest iOS version and/or hardware. A lot has changed and if software doesn't keep up with newer hardware, things will suffer which in your case is freezing and probably poor performance when it is not freezing. You may even notice iPad getting hotter than normal and poor battery life.

Does latest iPad use an 'M' processor instead of an 'A' processor? Maybe that is something to consider with what @sultan1966 stated above...

Latest iPad Pro has an M4 chip. Doesn't get any better than that. MacBook Pro performance in a tablet.
