I don't think so it looks like an in game photo. However I could be wrong and their is a version 7 of the route.I've found on routes with custom thumbnail images that do not match the default aspect ratio that any attempt to save new sessions will prompt a new route to be saved instead. This behavior has been repeatable across multiple versions of trainz 22 and plus. Does this route have a non-trainz-created image for its preview?
I saw nothing different and I always made sure I saved the route-only and not the session when I edited anything route-related. This was the only time that I used UDS in this fashion. Normally I use it only to test signals and railroad crossings to ensure that they are working properly by going into Driver from Surveyor but not the other way around.I think I may have tracked down the problem with the save loop error. Something happened btwn this version <kuid:293137:105463> Mayfield - Davenport and this version <kuid2:293137:105463:3> Mayfield - Davenport. The orginal version of the route doesn't have this problem but the 3rd version did have a problem this may have occurred because of a UDS error when saving the route that must have triggered it. During any point in time during the making of the update to the route did you see something funky or not normal happen during the save or use the UDS the go from driver to surveyor then back to driver and a glitch occur? Second option could be an error occur because of an asset script getting messed up due to the UDS functionality.
My route has Trainz generated preview images and not a custom image done in a photo-editor.I've found on routes with custom thumbnail images that do not match the default aspect ratio that any attempt to save new sessions will prompt a new route to be saved instead. That route is the only one that had this issue on my end. None of my own routes/sessions, none from the DLC or installed from the DLS exhibit this behaviour. So it stumps me too. My suspicion is still that the cause is something in the route but life is too short to go through all its assets to discover which.on his end and he says he has normal operations which stumps me?
The only other route that I've used that's done this is the Indiana Western by BBarnes005. Does it do the same for you or anyone else? That route is the only one that had this issue on my end. My advice is (a) live with it or (b) move on.
I don't have that one but it is possible, if an asset or assets are the cause, that both routes have that asset (or assets).Indiana Western by BBarnes005
Its on the dls as a 19 and 22 version with modern and 1970's iterations. I will say now it does some 3rd party dependencies.I don't have that one but it is possible, if an asset or assets are the cause, that both routes have that asset (or assets).
It is that fact that puts me off downloading the route. If I use those 3rd party dependencies in a route that I upload to the DLS then I have to tell all down-loaders of that. Then what happens if the 3rd party web site closes down (as a few have in the past)?it does some 3rd party dependencies
I was lucky that I'm a greedy gut when it comes to content. Whenever I've visited a 3rd party site, I've downloaded as much as I can from that site just in case it goes belly up at some point. For this route, I had everything except for the two assets that were tossed from the DLS.It is that fact that puts me off downloading the route. This right here is me as well bought 2 24tb drives just for trainz. Still trying to love this route as its one of the best freeware ones on the dls for U.S. Stuff to run on with so few on thereI was lucky that I'm a greedy gut when it comes to content. The route looks really great. I haven't had much time to use Trainz since I downloaded the route. I have 16 TB set aside for Trainz and content. I save everything I download including payware I purchased from various sites and I have a dedicated hard disk set up for Trainz. This right here is me as well bought 2 24tb drives just for trainz.
