Roads disguised as track

Hello,

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but here goes. On one of my routes I ran invisible tracks along my roads so I could drive some vehicles I made along the roads with the cars put there by the simulator. I have been doing quite a bit downloading as I work on my current route and noticed there are a lot of vehicles listed as track objects, which allows such vehicles to run on track. I have been contemplating building and configuring tracks that look like roads to drive said vehicles. My question is has someone already done this and if so, how can I find said roads?

Thanks,
Jacob

The modern designation for all splines is track. The difference is designated in the config.txt file with the following switches:

isroad 0 or 1
istrack 0 or 1.

The 0 or 1 is the binary for false or true.

Road objects are track objects today and if you create or modify a region you specify these instead of the scenery version of these vehicles.

In theory, we can therefore have a road as a track by using a road asset and specifying that as a track by using the switch, so you were ahead of the times with your invisible track going down the roads.

These have been around for a long time
<kuid2:57979:38051:1> Roadtrack Tunnel USA 410
<kuid2:68830:37099:1> RoadTrack Dual
<kuid2:57979:400410:1> Roadtrack 2 Lane USA 410 No-Pass Shoulder

Thanks guys. Downloaded what I could find on the dls. I will use these as a guild to build my own. I would like to use the Yarnish roads for the road textures to match what I have already laid.

Jacob
