Red Button at bottom of screen

Get over it
It's annoying. WhenI click on it I get this message: Unknown thread exception ER_ NullArray Reference, line 144, file chameleon.gse. Yes it goes away after that message but any suggestions as to how to fix the error message? Thanks.

hi,
chameleon.gse i think is a item train/rollingstock which has several diffrent textures to it..this train/rollingstock could be the problem.

stouthm: I've had these stack dump errors before..The first thing that comes to my mind is, think about the last thing you downloaded and delete it..Some times what else happens is you put to many items in your industrial area like you put something to close to something and it doesn't like it..Unless you know what code means, you might try the above..

From memory, once you click on the red dot a pop up screen comes up. If you select/highlight the error you can then get more details which may tell you which item is causing the problem. Sometimes you may be able to fix the item, sometimes maybe not, it's then up to you to decide if you really need the item in the layout or if you can replace it.

The red button is telling you that an asset has a script error. If you click on the button it should point to the exact kuid with the script problem which may or may not be fixable.

Hi stouthm, I also have this red dot come up in various routes in 2010, S & C, Murchison and UMR2010, and the message about script errors etc However I just close the screen and it and it goes away for the rest of the session. I have never noticed any degradation or problems in the game.
This issue also came up some months ago and the advice then from members was just to ignore it and close it out.
To try and fix it is probably not worth the effort. What difference would you see if the game was working OK before hand anyway as mine do?
Cheers

Now if only Auran would include the kuid of the offending asset in the error message, so that with a large route we had a ghost of a chance tracking it down...

If it's TS2009 SP4/TS2010, it should have the KUID (it does on my version of TS2009 SP4) if a specific item is involved (like a station, multiple industry, certain trains) mentioned on the actual script error (you may have to click it in order to get the information).
