realistic loading and unloading

It would be really nice to see flatcars actually load with logs by using a forklift instead of seeing logs appearing out of nowhere on the flatcar.

Technically it's possible to have animation with a fork truck dumping the logs on a wagon. I think SirGibbys layouts have it so it's a matter of either tracking down the kuid or getting GMAX out.

I imagine that this would be incredibly difficult to implement. Each industry would require a separate animation for every conceivable position the flatcar might occupy. Then you have to factor in the massively large amounts of different flatcars on the DLS and the numbers begin to inspire reactions such as "OMFG! It's ginormous!" and "WTF?"

There is a grabber-crane that's animated & does that.
I think possibly a logging mill 'industry' will also do the same?.

Hush, let him get GMAX out and create the first few then let him realise the size of the problem. There is an animated fork lift truck that pulls logs from a log pile and drops them off. Not perfect but quite close.
