re-skining without explorer

Ok is there another way to re-skin trains without having to open up CMP and going to edit in explorer?

How bout in TRS2006 how would i do that and how can i view the hole train so i can repaint it?

You have to open the file to edit it for 2006 and onwards just due to the way that Trainz stores the content in it Data Base.

There is no other way .

Once the content is open you can use the mesh viewer from PEV tools to view the whole train as you paint it with your prefered paint software.
