Trying to place a rial bridge across a valley using fixed bridges. Some of the bridges "hop about". That is, they suddenly jump to a new elevation as you move them. It is as if some part of the bridge is tied to the underlying ground elevation. Usint splines some bridges actually follow the ground which is really odd. They "sag" to ground elevations as you cross a valley. Using TS2009.

This is correct fixed items place their height at the axis point of the object. You need to place the fixed item into place then use the raise/lower object button. Splines are also correct, if you click on the advance at the bottom of tab and select the left icon on the bottom row. Clik on the spline point and you will get the height of it, now select the icon to the right of the numbers and click on the icon again the bridge will straighten up.
