questions on my new cpu

Just upgraded my old

AMD ATHLON 5600+ 2.2GHZ daul core

To

AMD Phenom 9350e 2.0GHZ quad core

Would trs2006 though to TRS2010 make use of the extra 2 cores?

Or would I be better off just putting my old one back in?

I'm also looking at upgrading my video card in the next week.

Old card geforce 8500GT 512MB Don't want to spend anymore than £80 on a new card and don't want any less ram on it.

Any help please guys.

Anything less than TS2009 only uses one core. TS2009/10 use as many cores as are available inCM3 whatever but according to Chris only two cores in the game, they are hoping to make use of more cores later on. The other cores can be used for operating system things like on board sound.

If you are running TS2009/10 they use DXT compression so textures only take up 25% of the space in video card memory, translation the newer stuff uses bigger textures to look better but the older stuff needs less video card memory.

Cheerio John

Even if it didn't use all four cores, it's still ncie to give the O/S everything it needs, still makes a difference. And you already upgraded, putting the old one back doesn't make much sense, even less so for the other software you use :D
