Problems with Loco Skins?

I have a number of locos I"ve downloaded from the Download Center that appear in the Rail Yard list but either won't diplay at all, or if they do have a sort of mottled, multi-colored appearance as opposed to what they're supposed to be.

Is this just a case of missing assets/dependencies or is something else at work here?

if they dont appear usually its due to missing dependences the mult colour is usually due to video card not fully supporting open gl change to direct x usually fixes the problem

Another cause (sometimes) of messed up colors is texture compression. To check if you have it enabled, start CM then click File - Settings, select the Miscellaneous tab and if the box by Enable hardware accelerated texture compression is checked, uncheck it.
