Problems Reskinning the EMDX SD70ACE

So I tried reskinning the EMDX SD70ACe. Upon opening the textures in GIMP, they were all transparent and nothing else! I attempted to paint on it anyway, and I placed the engine in the game, only to find a blank (but very shiny) SD70ACe! What am I doing wrong and how do I fix this?
