Problem with downloaded PRR Pack

hiyo

Suspect is hatless
Hi all, I'm new to all this so am at a bit of a loss.

Downloaded the Jointed Rail PRR Pack of SD45s, but they won't show up in Railyard. Content manager says the missing dependencies are the four patches from each respective loco (CR, PC, PRR etc - I don't know why these aren't in the download). I can't seem to get these assets to download through content manager.

I don't have a FCT yet, but I assume you can download at reduced speed without one?

Welcome to the Trainz Forums.

The missing dependencies will keep you from using the locomotives you have downloaded.

You don't need an FCT to download the dependencies and they can be downloaded from www.jointedrail.com. Look for the dependencies packs for your locomotives. These contain cabins, horns, and other bits to make the engines work.

Thanks John, that did the trick.

These Jointed Rail locos are absolutely brilliant - that 645 engine in full song reminds me of the old EMD locos that used to run past my house in Australia!

You're welome.

They probably are similar to your EMDs that ran by your house. EMD exported some of the GP40s and others to Australia and called them something else. There are differences, but from appearance wise, they're very similar and have the same engine.

That's one thing I enjoy about railroads and railfanning. You can be anywhere in the world and still find someone interested in the same thing. This is unlike sports where each region has their specific sport like baseball, hockey, etc. which are big in the US and Canada, but virtually unknown elsewhere.
