Problem with AJS Superscript

Yes I think so.
The AEC Railcars as published ask for version 16 so your copies have been edited. You can simply revert these if you don't want to edit configs.
I suggest that you do this:

1. Open the configs for all of these assets and alter ALL references to Superscript to read <kuid:122285:508> (ie NO version number)
2. You will find it in the script-include-table as well as in the kuid-table, it might be listed twice in the kuid-table.
3. You may also find it in the mesh-table in mesh-asset tags.
4. Make sure that you have changed every instance in all of these assets back to the base reference.
5. Save and recommit the asset, if it still gives a dependency fault you have probably missed one.

Once you've got that done everything should be OK under version 18.

Unless somebody else has been very quick off the mark the only assets in existence that actually need version 19 are my WD 2-8-0 loco and tender.

If you are running TRS2009 and don't have the WD don't download version 19, version 20 will be published shortly.

Thanks for your reply. Forgetting the Railcars for the moment, the other 2 assets have only 1 reference to the superscript. ie under codelib in the kuid table. These do not have any version no. There is no script-include-table and nothing in the mesh-table. Do you want me to delete version 19? If so I get a dependency error.

Then they are likely to be totally broken anyway since there is no way that version 19 can run without a script include table. I would simply delete the script and class tags from those assets.

You will still need to fix the AEC assets as described.

Yes - deleting the script & class tags has solved the problem ! It appears that these assets did not need your superscript then ? They seem to be working just as well as before. I'll update Karl Lambert & WEN with the situation. Many thanks for your help.

Good news.

It depends what they were trying to implement. In general though you should not specify a kuid revision for dependencies unless there is a very good reason to do so. TRS will pick up the latest version automatically.

Hi, I was wondering; does the options window still allow you to specify running numbers' consist direction and other features for the Class 105 in driver mode after deleting the asset? I'm a novice at fixing Misc config files and therefore unsure if it will work for the content in my database.

I have noticed that for anyone who uses the Si3D 2010 content and downloaded the most recent cowans breakdown train assets will introduce this exact scrpt error into their database preventing them from using the features of the locos.

Sorry to be a bother' but should your Gresley Teak coaches require the Version 19 Supersript Library or is it just an error in my CM database?

The Gresleys vary but none of them need anything later than version 16.

If you have any vehicles which are asking for specific versions it will usually be safe to change all the Superscript references in config back to <kuid:122285:508> This should solve any problems in CMP.

Usually there will be no problems with the traincar assets in doing this but in very very rare cases you may get an exception from Superscript in game. I can deal with these if and when they crop up.

As for the rest of your queries you will need to rephrase them, as they stand your questions don't make sense.

Ah I see Sorry about that but I found the problem difficult for me to explain. I'll rephrase the most urgent question on my mind. I downloaded the 2010 Si3d content for my younger Brother as we share my computer; however since I've downloaded the most recent version of the Cowan's breakdown train (which automaticly downloaded Version 19 of your Superscript library) My Brother found that when he tried to edit the SI3D loco features we discovered a Script code error apeared in the options window and I'm unsure how to rectify the problem.

I've tried to edit the features the Error msg read "ErrorPropertyBrowserRefresh0 not handled.
A Script error occured while attempting to edit the properties of this asset."

It means that the asset is broken.

The fix is probably in Post 3 of this thread but if you aren't comfortable with that there will be an update in the next few days which should clear it.

Could the ajs superscript library be affecting rumours class 66 ews loco no running numbers are appearing on the locos the ajs superscript library is a dependency on this loco. thanks

Best way to test if it is a mesh error or a script is to enter the running number manually if your able to enter a running number and it shows up its a script problem other wise a mesh error

I entered the running number manually and it showed up is there any way to fix the script problem, using Quickdrive the locos are running without numbers. thanks

what it means is that the config has an error in it - I have issues with sorted these ones out myself so out of my depth :) from this point on

The short answer for the Class 66 is that it won't work until I find the problem and issue an update to cover it.

This is only affecting vehicles that use the oldest version of the asset script. If you delete superscript.gs and replace it with either VStub.gs or LStub.gs and add a script-include-table to the asset the problem will be fixed. This can't be done unless your asset is running under trainz-build 2.9 or later so it won't work with the Class 66 unless you update it first.
