Problem with AJS Superscript

Check that the files that says its missing the dependency look at the config and make sure that it is saying the version 18s kuid number also you may need to check the kuid table to make sure that is also version 18 kuid number.
Close and save then commit see if it is now reporting the missing dependency if so follow next set of instructions first close down the CM and program.
CM or content managers database is notorious for keeping info regarding content installed even when you have deleted it.
The only answer to solve this is to go to your install folder for the trainz version you are using with this problem and open the main folder in there remove the assets tdx file and in the Cache folder remove the assets bku file then go back to your desktop and launch your trainz and open CM .
You will now have to wait and wait and wait while the database is being rebuilt once you have the CM showing your content you can now recheck the problem item and you should not now be showing any missing dependency (version 19)

I'm afraid that none of this is going to make any difference whatsoever until I fix the bug in the code. :)

Please post in the main Superscript thread if you have any more queries, I'm going to ignore this one.

Hi Andi I've tried downloading version 20 of script however it doesn't seem to have fixed the problem :(
Plus for some reason CM has downloded version 16 and the asset has a missing dependency error requesting version 20.

Not necessarily, the dependency report is returning the latest version that it 'knows' about rather than what the asset itself is asking for.

I was wondering if the lack of script include table could be the culprit?
Yes it is, but you can't add a script-include-table to an asset with a trainz-build of 2.4.

Oh I see. However I had to change the Si3d content build number from 3.0 - 2.9 in order for the asset to work in TRS 2009 when it was origionally installed.

Hi All,

I downloaded the NSWGR BWH wagons yesterday and ever since then the Superscript which controls the Loco Running numbers and the wagons have stopped working. It comes up with the red bug. I have checked content manager and it is not faulty. I have deleted and re-downloaded but that has not fixed it. Here is the error:
Superscript : Thread Exception: ER_ArrayOutOfBounds, line 1235, file superscript.gse (7)

Thread Exception: ER_ArrayOutOfBounds, line 1235, file superscript.gse

Stack dump:

function $void@Superscript::TestNumber(bool,string), line -1
function $string@Superscript::LibraryCall(string,string[],GSObject[]), line 2758
function $void@SSVehicle::LinkPropertyValue(string), line 153

Thanks

David

Hi andi I've managed to resolve my problem by deleting the superscript from the the DLS and use a previous version I had saved to Memory stick instead. Everything works fine now but thanks for your help.

For anyone who is experiencing trouble with Version 19/20 superscript I have a fix suggestion delete the version 19/20 superscript from CM database then go to the link below and download the new version of Devious Diesel. Whithin the CDP is the Version 18 Superscript which works fine for me.

If you download the superscript of of the DLS you will just re introduce the problem. I just saved the version 18 to a CDP and saved it to a memory stick to avoid losing it.

While we are on the topic of problems with Superscript, I have encountered an annoying (but not serious) problem with the help system that allows you to create custom help messages in the properties window of a superscript enabled asset by adding a string table to the assets config.txt file. Without adding the string table the default help messages that are built into system will be displayed. To quote the manual...

The format for overriding the default help is simple:
string-table {
help0 “help for help”
help1 “help for debug”
help2 "help for default configuration”
help3 “help for livery”
help4 “help for options”
}

The help1 label does not apply to my situation (no debug mode - but I tried adding it in anyway without any joy). All except the help4 work as expected. The options help always displays the default message block no matter what I put in the help4 string. Any ideas out there please? I am using the latest - version 20.

In anticipation ...

Peter Ware

The issue is probably just that the manual is a little out of date. The current listing by section is:

0 Help (all html sections collapsed)
1 Debug
2 Default Config
3 Liveries
4 Bogies
5 Options
6 Route Selection

Depending on your precise setup some sections will obviously not be available. It looks like I've changed Options from 4 to 5 at some point (for which I apologise) but using help5 should give the result you need.

Hey Andi, I have an issue. On certain rolling stock that use your superscript, all of the lights stay on, all of the time, the 'ctrl and right click' (?) menu is blank when opened and I get this error message:

ELStub : Thread Exception: ER_NullReference, line 219, file superstub.gse (2)
ELStub : Unable to load Code Library <kuid:122285:508>

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

It means that Superscript can't be loaded. Either it is not installed, its corrupt or it is the wrong version for your build.
