Yes I think so.
The AEC Railcars as published ask for version 16 so your copies have been edited. You can simply revert these if you don't want to edit configs.
I suggest that you do this:
1. Open the configs for all of these assets and alter ALL references to Superscript to read <kuid:122285:508> (ie NO version number)
2. You will find it in the script-include-table as well as in the kuid-table, it might be listed twice in the kuid-table.
3. You may also find it in the mesh-table in mesh-asset tags.
4. Make sure that you have changed every instance in all of these assets back to the base reference.
5. Save and recommit the asset, if it still gives a dependency fault you have probably missed one.
Once you've got that done everything should be OK under version 18.
Unless somebody else has been very quick off the mark the only assets in existence that actually need version 19 are my WD 2-8-0 loco and tender.
If you are running TRS2009 and don't have the WD don't download version 19, version 20 will be published shortly.
